Werkplaatz 248 (WP248) is a family owned wood workshop founded by Erick Brohet and his son Michael Brohet, established in 2018. The workshop focused in utilizing exotic woods surrounded within the workshop’s areas which were cut down mostly during a massive construction of the public toll roads; Desari and Krukut Interchange, in Depok, West Java. The Exotic wood includes Kantil. (White Champaca), Mindi, Sungkai, Mangosteen, Menteng, Limus Piit, Rengas, Canari, Tamarind, Samanea Saman, Sengon Buto and many others. Every piece of wood has its own legend on why they are cut down.
